STI 1217 protective cover for signal devices and temperature sensors
The STI-1217 is a transparent protective cover made of impact-resistant polycarbonate that protects signal devices such as strobes, sirens, horns, and speakers from bumps, vandalism, and unwanted operation. The cover is designed with slots so that the sound of the siren or horn remains audible. Besides signal devices, this cover is also suitable for temperature sensors, sensors, and (wireless) repeaters. The product is used worldwide in schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, elderly care, offices, and public buildings.
Application
Use the STI-1217 when equipment is visible or at risk of damage or misuse. The open back makes mounting over existing units easy and also provides quick access for service and maintenance.
Function
The cover is placed over the signal device or sensor and attached to the surface. The slots in the cover allow sound and light to pass through, so the functional performance of sirens, horns, or strobes is maintained, while the housing provides protection against physical impact and unintended activation.
