The STI-6200 extinguisher stopper prevents theft, vandalism, and unwanted use of fire extinguishers. The striking STOP sign acts as a visible deterrent. If the secured extinguisher is removed, the pull/connection cable is pulled loose and a loud acoustic alarm sounds immediately. If you place the extinguisher back and reinsert the cable, the alarm stops immediately. The extinguisher remains always ready for use in emergencies; the stopper does not obstruct during firefighting.
Application
Ideal for locations where fire extinguishers are visible and accessible: schools, hospitals, care institutions, inns, shops, storerooms, offices, and other public buildings. The STI-6200 reduces unnecessary refills and replacements and raises safety awareness.
Operation
The unit is mounted near the fire extinguisher. A supplied cable connects the extinguisher to the extinguisher stopper. As soon as the extinguisher is removed and the cable is pulled free, the siren activates. After replacement and reinsertion of the cable, the alarm stops.
