The STI-6255 is a compact theft stopper that helps prevent theft, vandalism, and misuse of fire extinguishers and other equipment. The striking STOP sign acts as a deterrent. If the secured extinguisher or equipment is removed, the contact is broken and a loud alarm sounds immediately. The theft stopper does not hinder use in emergencies: in a real deployment, the fire extinguisher remains directly accessible.
Application
The STI-6255 is ideal for fire extinguisher cabinets and other uses where removal is unwanted. You can secure two fire extinguishers or other objects with this unit. Suitable for shops, schools, hospitals, care institutions, inns, storerooms, offices, and public buildings.
Operation
The unit is mounted on the fire extinguisher(s) or equipment to be secured. A break or pull contact connects the object to the theft stopper. As soon as the object is removed, the siren activates (up to 105 dB). For maintenance, a deactivation cable is available: this allows you to temporarily switch off the alarm during service or inspection.

The thermostat cover looks nice in the hallway. Children can no longer reach it and the material feels sturdy. The assembly video was helpful.
